The
programs and opportunities provided by RSVP would not be
possible without a dedicated and hard working
staff.
Our
Staff
Denise Grace Project
Director
Denise Grace has worked with non-profits for many years.
She has come to us from the Jefferson County RSVP in Pine
Bluff, Arkansas where she served five years as Director.
Denise enjoys working with seniors and youth. She finds that
Arkansas has many wonderfully dedicated volunteers. She
partnered with Arkansas Hospice Angel Program in Little Rock,
and started a youth program called "Project Smile", where
students from high school go into nursing homes to work with
terminally ill patients. This program has grown into several
other counties including Little Rock.
Her favorite quote of all times is: "Volunteers are the
only human beings on the face of the earth who reflect this
nation's compassion, unselfish caring, patience, and just plain love for one another." -- Erma Bombeck
Denise is married, with two grown successful daughters, and four
grandchildren, which she calls her "peeps".
Seana Howard Volunteer Coordinator
I have been volunteering since I was old enough to cross
the street by myself. I am passionate about service to others mainly because at a young age I was able to see the impact that helping others had on the ones
being helped but also the ones who gave the service. These following
scriptures were the resounding voice in my home.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
I Corinthians 16:14 Let all you things be done with charity.
Now, the end commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of good conscience,
and of faith unfeigned.
I am mother of two children: KaLeigh Howard and Kenneth Howard III.; member of
College Heights Church of Christ in Pine Bluff, Arkansas; educated in
psychology, social work and middle school education.
Before becoming the RSVP of Central Arkansas Volunteer Coordinator, I was an
Americorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service to America) with Future Builders, Inc.
(sponsoring organization for RSVP of Central Arkansas). There, I educated
communities about three major health concerns that plague the United States at
an alarming rate: heart disease, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS.
