AARP Chapter 4982

Chapter 4982 was organized in 1992 at the First Highland Park Missionary Baptist Church. The Chapter had been engaged in projects such as: Participating in Christmas Cheer Program in Hot Springs, Arkansas; supporting Parkview Living Center for Christmas; supporting National Day of Service with 25 volunteers in 2006; participating in Voices for Civil Rights Tour; attending legislative sessions and advocating for Retired Persons Issues; contributing annually to the Andrus Foundation. Since 1999, we have participated in the Annual Martin Luther King Parade. We have held several rallies at the state capitol on the National Holiday.

If any of the things Highland Park AARP Chapter 4982 is doing has sparked your interest and you are 50 plus years of age and a member of AARP association, you are welcome to join us on the 4th Saturday of the month at 10:00AM at the Willie Hinton Community at 3805 W. 12th, Little Rock, Arkansas.

North Metro Medical Center

North Metro’s Auxiliary has a tradition of service that began in 1965. A handful of women laid the foundation for an organization that would grow to become a vital part of our healthcare system. Today our Auxiliary can boast of 160 dedicated volunteers who volunteer in a variety of capacities, all working to provide quality service to our patients and their families.

As a volunteer at North Metro Medical Center, you’ll enjoy many rewards. You will feel a sense of accomplishment, learn new skills, meet new people, make new friends, and make an invaluable contribution to your community. There are many areas in which volunteer help is needed and scheduling is very flexible.

We are located at 400 W. Braden Street, Jacksonville, AR 72076. For more information please call, 501-985-7001.
